Updated October 30, 2026.
MAILE is an email-drafting app from Ajay Chainani for iPhone and iPad. It turns notes into a draft you can review and open in your preferred mail app. It is writing assistance, not a guarantee that a message is accurate, appropriate or ready to send.
| Name | MAILE for iPhone |
| Overview | The official website describes drafting from brief notes, choosing a tone and opening the result in Apple Mail, Outlook or Gmail. Users review, edit and send from their mail app. |
| Key features and limits | Advertised options include Business Formal, Friendly and Casual tones, Siri-assisted drafting and a model selector. The provider describes on-device drafting with Apple Intelligence and specifies a supported iPhone running iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled. This review did not separately verify offline compatibility on iPad. Do not assume every model or device works offline. |
| Use cases and applications | Prepare a meeting invitation, a routine inquiry or a polite follow-up using notes you are authorized to share. Review factual details and commitments before sending. No time-saving or stress-reduction result was measured for this review. |
| Who uses? | iPhone and iPad users considering help with personal or professional email wording, subject to their workplace’s information-sharing rules. |
| Pricing | The website advertises a first draft free and a paid MAILE Pro subscription. A current price with an unambiguous currency was not verified. The U.S. App Store lists the app as free with in-app purchases, including several Pro amounts without clear billing-period labels. Confirm the exact subscription, currency, renewal period and regional price in the offer presented to you; a free download is not unlimited free drafting. |
| Tags | Email drafts, tone selection, iPhone writing assistant, iPad productivity. |
| App available? | The U.S. App Store listing identifies Ajay Chainani and requires iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 or later. Availability in other storefronts and installation on a particular device were not tested. On-device drafting has additional requirements and was not tested. |
Review a draft before it becomes a commitment
For example, start with your own notes: request a project update by Friday and thank the recipient for their help. Check that a suggested draft does not invent a missed deadline, promise an extension or address the wrong person. Add confidential details only if you have permission to share them with the selected service. This is an illustrative workflow, not a draft generated by MAILE during this review.
Privacy depends on the mode and information shared
The September 2026 privacy policy describes processing of account and email information and lists third parties, including OpenAI. The App Store’s privacy labels are developer declarations, not an independent security audit. An optional on-device mode should not be interpreted as proof that all app functions, analytics or other model choices avoid server processing.
Review the applicable privacy policy and permissions before using sensitive work correspondence. No mailbox, contacts, private notes or credentials were supplied in this review, and no app was installed or email sent.
