Animon’s January 2026 notice scheduled its Animon.ai web/API services to close on January 28, 2026; this image does not verify current availability.

Animon.ai web/API closure notice: Animon’s January 21, 2026 announcement scheduled the Animon.ai web and API services to close on January 28, 2026 at noon Japan Standard Time. It scheduled registration and new generation tasks to stop two days earlier. The notice also said saved-content access would end on January 28 at noon JST. This article preserves the tool’s history; it is not a recommendation to sign up or buy a plan today. Read the shutdown announcement.

Name Animon AI
Overview Animon AI was an anime-focused AI video generator from Japan’s Animon Dream Factory. It let users turn static images or illustrations into short anime-style animations using image references and text prompts. Digital artists, VTubers and anime fans could explore motion, expressions and visual storytelling without building every animation frame manually. The original listing described its early short-clip workflow; later Studio and continuation features expanded that workflow before the Animon.ai closure announcement. Its world-first and cinematic-quality claims, and the original listing’s description of authentic anime datasets, were not independently verified.
Key Features & Benefits
  • Image-to-Video: Turn drawings or reference images into short anime clips. The company’s September 2025 update later added continuation up to 14 seconds at 480p.
  • AI Motion Engine: Use prompts and reference images to guide motion, lighting and expressions; consistent quality was not independently tested.
  • Speed: Generation time depended on the task and queue; the old under-three-minute figure was not a service guarantee.
  • User-Friendly: Designed to simplify animation for beginners; outputs could still require review or editing.
  • Creative Control: Add text prompts to influence style and movement.
  • Export Options: Video downloads and watermark options depended on the historical plan; the January notice said saved-content access would end with the Animon.ai web/API services.
  • Former Free Plan: Free generation was a historical offer, not a permanent availability guarantee.
  • Commercial License: Paid-plan terms governed permitted use. A subscription alone did not clear rights to uploaded artwork, characters, music or other third-party material.
Use Cases and Applications

Historical creative applications included:

  • VTuber intros and motion scenes
  • Anime fan art animation
  • Manga trailers or visual storytelling
  • YouTube Shorts or TikTok anime content
  • Game character teaser animations
  • AI-assisted anime production previews
Who Uses?

The original intended audiences included:

  • Digital artists and illustrators
  • Content creators and influencers
  • Anime producers and VTubers
  • AI enthusiasts and hobbyists
  • Creative agencies and indie game developers
Pricing

No current purchasable plan is confirmed. The original listing quoted a free tier and a roughly $9.90/month Pro plan, which this review could not independently verify. These should not be treated as live offers. For historical context, the company’s July 29, 2025 Studio launch advertised US$49.90/month and a three-day US$0.99 trial; those are also expired offers.

The closure announcement promised refunds for eligible remaining memberships and unused credits/Units and scheduled processing by January 27, 2026. Completion for individual customers was not verified. The notice limited support to January 31, 2026, so its historical contact address is not a promise of current support.

App Available? Animon.ai web/API closure announced. The July 2025 launch described web and mobile access, with app releases planned. No currently usable standalone app was verified. Similar-looking names or other domains should not be assumed to be a continuation of Animon.ai.

The notice concerns Animon.ai’s web/API services. CreateAI separately announced a China version at animon.com in September 2025. That history does not establish whether another regional service is usable now, and this article does not claim that every Animon corporate or regional activity ended.

Historical workflow and rights checks

The later Studio version brought image generation, frame editing and video output into one workflow. Its launch described start/end-frame control, image editing and higher-resolution video export. These additions explain why the early short-clip description should not be read as the complete feature set at closure.

If you still hold downloaded work, keep the original files, purchase records and the terms that applied when it was generated. Check permissions for any third-party characters, source images and audio before republishing. This review did not test output quality or establish rights to particular works.

Sources and status check

Status and source review: October 20, 2026. Historical features are retained for reference; no account, purchase or generation was attempted.
