PixelChat is an AI character-chat platform for fictional dialogue and roleplay. Adults can use character descriptions and personas to shape a story, although replies can lose details or depart from the intended scene. Its official introduction describes character creation and storytelling as core uses.
Character chat
According to PixelChat’s reply guide, responses depend on the character definition, persona, recent conversation, available memories and generation settings. Separate chats start independently, even with the same character. Treat the output as fiction rather than factual guidance.
A practical use is exploring dialogue for an original fictional character. Keep your own notes and revise the result yourself. The commercial-use guidance does not grant commercial reuse permissions. The terms distinguish ownership according to who created the character and grant PixelChat broad content-use rights. Clarify permissions before publishing.
Models and memory
The current model list includes PixelChat Default and Stheno for all users, Magnum 12B from Get A Taste, and PixelXL on I’m All In. These are documented availability examples, not recommendations based on testing. Check the model selector for your account’s options.
PixelChat’s context guide gives tier ceilings of 4,096 tokens for Free and Get A Taste, 8,192 for True Supporter, and 32,768 for I’m All In. A model’s lower limit still applies. Character details, instructions and messages share that space; older messages can fall outside it. Memory tools can help retain selected details, but do not guarantee complete or accurate recall.
Plans and prices
The official plan comparison lists these monthly prices in US dollars:
- Free: unlimited messages and character creation.
- Get A Taste: USD $5.95 per month, with ad removal, queue benefits and Memory Manager.
- True Supporter: USD $19.95 per month, adding automatic memory summaries and Conversation Images.
- I’m All In: USD $29.95 per month, adding text-to-speech and priority generation.
Higher tiers include the lower-tier benefits. PixelChat advertises a 17% saving with annual billing and says it offers no free trials. We did not verify an annual checkout total, taxes or regional store pricing. Confirm the amount and renewal terms before paying.
Billing checks
For website subscriptions, cancellation guidance says paid access lasts until the purchased period ends. Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled through Google. Some one-time payment methods do not renew automatically.
The refund policy dated October 7, 2026 says fees become non-refundable after login details are used and excludes partial-month refunds. This conflicts with the help page’s conditional 24-hour card-refund offer. Ask support which conditions apply before paying; a refund should not be assumed.
Web and mobile
PixelChat’s mobile guidance confirms a supported Android app on Google Play. It says the iOS app has been removed from the App Store and will not receive updates. On iPhone or iPad, use the website; Safari can add it to the home screen. Some advanced settings and experimental models are web-only.
Age and privacy
The current content rules require users and depicted characters to be adults aged 18 or older. PixelChat describes the service as safe-for-work and prohibits explicit sexual material and nudity. Character creation remains subject to moderation.
The privacy policy describes account and usage-data collection, sharing with service providers, affiliates and business partners, and retention according to need rather than a fixed deletion deadline. The terms warn against confidential communications. Use invented story details rather than private information about yourself or anyone else; this review makes no claim that chats are excluded from model training.
A simple scene
Original example, not tested: “You are Mira, a 35-year-old fictional cartographer preparing an exhibition about an imaginary island. Explain one unusual landmark, then ask which route I want to explore. Keep the scene nonsexual and leave my character’s actions for me to choose.”
Start with a short scene and compare replies with your character notes. If continuity slips, restate the relevant fictional facts. For more tools to compare, browse GPTOnline’s AI tools directory.
