Updated October 16, 2026.
Vocloner AI is a browser-based voice-cloning service for turning text into speech using a saved voice. This overview checks its public documentation, pricing and policies; we did not create an account, upload recordings or test generated audio.
Image note: The website screenshot above was included in the November 2025 article; its capture date is unverified. It shows an earlier layout and promotional voice-demo cards. Its claims about free, instant or superior results are historical marketing, not verified performance. It is not a product test or evidence of permission to clone the pictured voices.
Archival note: This article was first published in November 2025. Current features and terms below were reviewed on October 16, 2026.
Features and models
- Reusable voices: The official website describes a personal voice library.
- Model 2.0: Vocloner’s March 2026 announcement calls this the default engine, with multilingual synthesis and emotion markers placed within text. It also describes switching to Model 1.0 through Advanced Controls.
- Dialogue: The August 2026 release notes describe combining up to ten voices into one audio file, with a speaker assigned to each line and optional emotion cues. This is a premium-plan feature that uses the usual character allowance.
The current model announcement does not identify Coqui, XTTS or OpenVoice as its underlying technology or establish an open-source license. A multilingual marketing claim is not a complete language-and-accent compatibility list; verify your intended language before planning a project. Reported improvements in speed and expression are vendor claims, not results from our testing.
Pricing and limits
The public pricing section lists:
| Plan | Billing options | Usage limits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 3 voices; 1,000 characters/day; 200/request |
| Basic | $8 monthly; or $5/month, billed $60 annually | 10 voices; 100,000 characters/month; 1,000/request |
| Pro | $25 monthly; or $19/month, billed $228 annually | 50 voices; 500,000 characters/month; 3,000/request |
| Advanced | $49 monthly; or $39/month, billed $468 annually | 100 voices; 1,000,000 characters/month; 5,000/request |
Voice counts are maximums. Free includes Standard TTS; paid plans list Advanced TTS and Dialogue. Prices use the site’s dollar symbol; its public grid does not specify a currency code or tax treatment. Confirm both before paying.
Under the terms, Free is for personal, non-commercial use; Basic, Pro and Advanced permit commercial use subject to the other conditions. Subscriptions recur monthly or annually. Cancellation does not ordinarily refund the current billing cycle; the policy allows consideration of some technical-failure refund requests.
Consent and privacy
Vocloner’s terms restrict access to adults and require rights to the uploaded material. Another person’s voice requires explicit written consent. Deceptive impersonation and harmful uses are prohibited. A paid plan does not replace permission from a speaker or rights in the script and recording.
The terms describe content as private by default and grant a worldwide, irrevocable, sublicensable license limited to providing the service. They state that this license does not authorize advertising or AI-model training. These are contractual statements, not an independent security assessment.
The privacy policy says source audio is deleted after processing, while generated model images remain while the user keeps the voice model. It does not clearly explain retention for every model artifact or generated output. Account deletion requires contacting the address in that policy. It also discloses analytics, advertising cookies and browser logs. Ask the provider about unclear retention details before supplying sensitive recordings.
A responsible example
Consider a fictional adult creator, Alex, who wants a short personal audio greeting in their own voice. This is an illustrative planning workflow, not a test we performed:
- Write an original greeting and choose a recording containing only Alex’s own voice, with no private conversations or background speakers.
- Review the current consent, retention and plan conditions before uploading. Vocloner’s recording guide recommends a single speaker, steady volume and a quiet room; it discusses MP3 and WAV inputs. Its duration advice is inconsistent, so check the actual uploader’s requirements.
- Start with one short passage. Keep a local copy of the script and note the chosen settings so revisions can be compared.
- Listen for pronunciation errors, unwanted pauses and misleading phrasing. Label the result as AI-generated when sharing it, and do not imply that a real person said something they never said.
For a client project or monetized video, resolve commercial licensing and speaker permission before production. For long narration, budget for corrections as well as the first generation; a character allowance alone does not establish finished audio quality.
Who should consider it?
Vocloner is worth evaluating for an adult’s own-voice narration or a properly authorized fictional dialogue. The published material does not establish accuracy for a particular accent, reliable completion times, or suitability for confidential material. Its public sign-in page offers Google and email access; we did not verify a native mobile app, API or offline workflow.
If your main goal is reading written material aloud, compare the workflow with our Speaktor overview before deciding whether you need voice cloning at all.
