Earlier Nevermined homepage with a geometric logo and decentralized AI-payments promotional text

Updated October 29, 2026

Identity correction: the original nevermined.io address redirects to Nevermined’s current nevermined.ai website. This article previously used the name “Wagmi Payments Protocol” inside the table. We did not establish that label’s relationship to Nevermined from primary evidence, so it is not presented as a verified former name or rebrand.

Historical image: the earlier Nevermined homepage is retained for brand identification. Its Web3 and community-governance marketing is not verified evidence of current governance or transaction performance. The original capture date is unknown; this is not a product test.

Name Nevermined
Overview Nevermined provides payment infrastructure for AI agents, developers and platforms. The provider describes spending mandates, access to paid services and merchant settlement. It is not an investment product recommendation, and payment automation does not guarantee fair outcomes, error-free transactions or protection from exploitation.
Key features & benefits
  • Spending mandates with amount, purchase-count and expiry controls.
  • Access to a catalog of paid services.
  • MCP, SDK and API integration options.
  • Card and crypto payment routes, subject to the supported merchant and integration.

These are provider-described functions, not controls tested for this review. The earlier community-governance and universal Web3-standard claims were not reverified.

Use cases and applications
  • Budgeting an agent’s purchases of data or API calls.
  • Offering an AI service with usage-based charging.
  • Tracking purchases within a platform’s approved workflow.

Confirm supported sellers and rails: the homepage distinguishes current integrations from roadmap capabilities, including broader card-merchant access and bank rails.

Who uses? Developers, AI-service merchants, teams and platforms implementing agent payments. People remain responsible for choosing the service, setting permissions and reviewing spending; an AI agent is not a substitute for accountable financial oversight.
Pricing

The pricing page lists a free solo account with up to 20 agents, 10 payment plans and 2,000 starting catalog credits. Catalog access offers 20,000 credits for $20/month. Separately, $10 top-up packs are advertised; their credit quantity was not established in this review. Organization tiers are $50, $250 and $500 per month. These are displayed dollar amounts; an ISO currency was not verified.

Fees depend on the flow: purchases from Nevermined merchants have no added buyer-side fee; managed external-service access adds 2% for the buyer. Sellers pay 1% on stablecoin rails or 2% on cards, plus payment-processing costs passed through at cost. Service prices and subscription charges are separate.

The wallet-focused terms instead describe a 1% transaction fee including applicable VAT and otherwise free service access. This does not resolve the current plan and fee differences. Confirm the applicable agreement, currency, taxes, credit rules and total charges before authorizing payments; do not assume one rate applies universally.

App available? The official site links to an online account application and developer integrations. A dedicated consumer mobile app was not verified. No account, installation, wallet connection or payment was tested.

A hypothetical payment-planning example

A research team could list the external search services an agent may use, decide a small spending ceiling and expiry, and review the expected cost per call before permitting purchases. Keep a human approval route for unexpected services and compare receipts with actual work delivered. This is a planning illustration, not a live transaction or a demonstration that controls cannot fail.

Privacy and transaction limitations

The privacy policy identifies Nevermined AG in Switzerland and describes collection of contact, usage and technical data. It also describes visitor-identification partners, marketing, service-provider sharing and international transfers. Retention depends on purpose and legal needs; this is not a promise of anonymity, immediate deletion or absolute security.

The published wallet-focused terms warn that lost wallet access and erroneous blockchain transfers may not be recoverable, and disclaim transaction-performance guarantees. Those statements should not be generalized to every card-based feature. Review the terms for the actual payment route, protect credentials and obtain appropriate professional advice for consequential financial, tax or legal questions. This overview is not investment advice.
