Lasso Moderation homepage introducing automated content moderation

Updated: October 17, 2026.

Lasso Moderation AI combines automated content checks with a web dashboard for human moderation teams. It is aimed at services that host user-generated content, including communities, messaging products, games, marketplaces and publishing sites. This overview uses official public sources; it is not a hands-on accuracy or security assessment.

What does Lasso moderate?

The official website advertises text, image, video and audio moderation. Capabilities include toxicity and spam checks, personal-information and link detection, image analysis, text extraction from images, and speech transcription. Availability and charges depend on the selected plan, integrations and add-ons.

Teams can configure policies, word lists and moderation rules, then manage flagged content, user reports, permissions, audit records and analytics. Advertised integrations include Slack, Stream, Sendbird and TalkJS. These are integration options to evaluate, not a promise that every existing workflow works without configuration.

How automation and human review connect

The documentation separates detection signals from decisions. Rules and AI moderators use those signals and your policies to determine actions; people can review cases through the dashboard. Your application must correctly handle the resulting decisions.

The documented API supports two approaches:

  • Post-moderation: submit content for background processing and receive decisions through webhooks.
  • Pre-moderation: wait for automated checks before deciding whether content can appear.

Webhooks also carry human decisions back to your platform. Test this complete path, including signature verification, delayed responses and failures, before relying on it in production. A detection score is not the same as a content removal that actually occurred.

A useful first pilot

For a marketplace reviewing buyer comments, start with one clearly written rule, such as flagging attempts to move payments off-platform. This is an illustrative workflow:

  1. Prepare permitted test examples, including ordinary conversation, clear violations and ambiguous cases.
  2. Begin with human review rather than automatically banning users.
  3. Check whether flags reach the queue and whether approved decisions are applied correctly in the marketplace.
  4. Measure missed violations and harmless comments flagged incorrectly, across relevant languages and contexts.
  5. Adjust rules, document changes and keep a route for users to challenge mistakes.

Do not treat automation percentages, latency claims or customer testimonials as results you will necessarily reproduce. Human escalation remains important for context, appeals and consequential account restrictions.

Pricing, usage limits and billing

The pricing page, checked October 17, 2026, lists:

  • Lite: from $99 per month, up to 10,000 moderated items monthly and one moderator, with text and image moderation.
  • Pro: from $499 per month, up to 100,000 items monthly and three moderators, adding video and audio moderation.
  • Enterprise: custom pricing, advertised with unlimited items and moderators; confirm the contracted capacity and service limits.

Custom AI models are not marked as included in Lite or Pro. The comparison also lists five custom rules and word lists for Lite, versus 15 each for Pro. Listed data retention is one month for Lite, three months for Pro and custom for Enterprise. Ask how an “item” is counted for mixed media, video duration, repeated checks and add-ons, and what happens when you exceed your allowance. Do not assume every upload has the same total processing cost.

The published terms specify USD and monthly advance payment unless otherwise agreed, with VAT and other taxes excluded unless stated. They describe renewal for the same term, written cancellation effective at the paid term’s end, and no refund on termination. A 30-day trial is described only when agreed with Lasso; a free-start button does not establish an unrestricted permanent free plan.

Privacy and compliance boundaries

Lasso’s privacy notice, updated October 1, 2026, covers processing where Lasso is the data controller, including account and usage information. It explicitly excludes customer-controlled data processed through the service, directing affected users to that organization’s privacy notice.

Before sending community content, review the applicable data-processing agreement, subprocessors, retention and deletion settings, access controls and model-training arrangements. The controller notice allows some providers outside the European Economic Area, so an EU-hosting statement should not be read as proof that every processing operation stays in the EU.

Compliance features and audit logs can support your process; they do not establish that your own deployment meets every legal obligation. Lasso’s terms leave moderation responsibility with the client and do not guarantee results. Minimize unnecessary personal data and obtain appropriate advice for sensitive deployments.

Who should consider Lasso?

Lasso may fit teams that want detection, configurable decisions and a shared review interface. Evaluate it against your actual content mix, reviewer capacity and integration requirements. Compare other categories in the GPTOnline AI tools directory.
