| Name | Prisma |
| Overview | Prisma is a photo editor from Prisma Labs. Its official mobile listings describe artistic filters and image adjustments. Both listings advertise more than 500 styles or effects; the earlier figure of over 700 was not confirmed. The App Store description also covers portrait segmentation, backgrounds and frames. These are provider descriptions, not results tested in this review. |

| Who uses? | Potential audiences include photographers, designers, artists, bloggers and people editing social-media images. These are possible use cases, not verified customer groups. |
| Pricing | The US App Store lists a free download with in-app purchases. Examples of displayed purchase items include Premium Monthly at $7.99 and Prisma Premium – 1 Year at $39.99. Other annual items show different amounts, so these are listing examples, not a single universal quote or a price promised to every account. The iOS description advertises a three-day trial and auto-renewing subscriptions; confirm eligibility, billing period, renewal price, taxes and currency in your own storefront before agreeing. Google Play labels the app as containing ads and in-app purchases. Android prices and a current browser-plan price were not verified. |

| App available? | Official listings were retrieved for iPhone and iPad and Android, under Prisma Labs. This review did not install either app. A separate Prisma Web policy exists, but a functioning browser editor or current web subscription was not tested; the earlier larger-screen web-access claim should not be taken as confirmed. |
A practical example
For a hypothetical greeting-card illustration, you could start with a photograph you took, compare a few available styles, and check whether the subject remains recognizable. If segmentation is available, compare applying the style to the subject and background separately. Inspect the exported image before printing. This is a planning example, not a Prisma image generated in this review.
Photo privacy and usage limits
The mobile privacy policy, effective June 3, 2025, describes settings for online versus on-device processing, permission to improve Prisma Styles and saving originals. It says the improvement setting is off by default and uploaded photos are deleted within 24 hours in that default context. Other settings and purposes affect storage; this is not a blanket guarantee that every photo or account record is deleted within a day. Review your settings before supplying an image, and obtain consent for other people’s photographs.
The terms distinguish your uploaded content from Prisma’s own site and app content. They do not provide general permission to reproduce the provider’s graphics, logos or examples outside the service. Do not assume an edited image is exclusive or cleared of all third-party rights. No upload, retention, deletion, purchase or export test was performed.
Sources and review scope
Reviewed October 30, 2026 UTC: the official US App Store listing, Google Play listing, terms, mobile privacy policy and indexed Prisma Web privacy policy. The previously listed product-page address returned a retrieval 404; this does not establish discontinuation, particularly since the official mobile listings were retrieved. Further provider requests stopped after the terms’ access and content-use restrictions were identified. Listings and policies describe advertised capabilities, not an independent performance benchmark.
