CloudKnife is an AI cost optimizer for Microsoft Azure. It launched on Product Hunt on October 26, 2026. Cloud cost tools usually tell you what to cut, then leave the work to you. CloudKnife handles it from A to Z: AI agents learn what every Azure resource is, how it is really used and what it is allowed to become, then a deterministic core checks every recommendation against hard rules, so your SAP VM only gets SAP-certified options. You approve, CloudKnife executes.

What CloudKnife does
- Understands workload context: its purpose, history and behaviour, not just its usage data, so recommendations fit what the resource actually does.
- Reasons and validates: every recommendation is checked against hard rules before it reaches you. Whitebox, not blackbox: every recommendation shows its reasoning and data.
- Combines related actions into one clear plan: instead of a list of savings to investigate one by one, you get a plan you can act on.
- Simulates each change against your commitments: including who takes over the coverage, so a saving does not break a reservation or a discount.
- Finds when resources actually need to run: and when they can scale down or switch off, then guides your team from decision to execution.
- European by design: hosted on Azure in West Europe and processed in the EEA, under EU law.
Who it is for
CloudKnife targets teams running production workloads on Microsoft Azure: engineers and FinOps owners who know their cloud bill has waste in it but do not have time to investigate every resource, validate every recommendation and execute every change by hand.
