What it does
Unlike shared-container sandboxes, kosa8 runs one microVM per agent with its own kernel, using Apple Virtualization or KVM. Your API keys never enter the sandbox: they stay on the host as placeholders, and an egress broker injects them only on allowed outbound calls. The network is closed except for an allow list you control, and the entire machine can be checkpointed and rewound in about a second, which makes risky agent runs reversible.
It is Docker CLI and Compose compatible, MCP-native, ships a Claude Code plugin, and produces hash-chained audit evidence with signed releases and FIPS 140-3 builds for regulated environments. It runs on Apple-silicon Macs, x86-64 Linux, and Windows 11 via WSL2 in preview.
