Phone Harness lets your AI agent literally use your phone: it taps, types and scrolls through real iPhone and Android apps, no jailbreak, no API integration, no app install required. The product launched on November 4, 2026, announced by solo founder Shawn Pana in a thread on X, and the company is in Y Combinator’s Fall 2026 batch.

What it does

The agent drives the phone UI directly, reading the screen through vision OCR or the accessibility tree. iPhones connect through iPhone Mirroring, Android through adb, and you can bring your own agent or use the hosted Cloud option. Cloud is in open beta and offers hosted real iPhones and Android emulators with real phone numbers, SMS and 2FA support, and persistent logins, so an agent can keep a session alive across runs.

For developers there is an Agent API and an MCP server, and the core is open source. The classic use case: anything you would do in an app that has no API, your agent can now do too, from booking flows to messaging apps.

Who it is for

Agent builders who keep hitting the “there is no API for that” wall: QA automation, mobile testing, personal productivity agents, and anyone running phone farms. The per-minute model makes experimentation cheap before you commit.

Pricing

Basic is $0 per month with usage at 5 cents per phone-minute and a $5 starting credit. Plus is $20 per month including 1,000 minutes, then 4 cents per minute. Cloud iPhone plans run $64 to $80 per month on annual billing (or $80/$100 monthly with eSIM), and Scale is custom with dedicated phones and invoicing. Prices may change; check phone-harness.com for the current details.
