Charma is now part of PI Perform
Charma, formerly WorkPatterns, was acquired by The Predictive Index. The acquisition closed in October 2023 and was announced on December 5, 2023. Current official documentation and the provider’s Chrome extension listing identify the product as PI Perform. This listing keeps the historical Charma name while explaining the current product rather than treating Charma as a separate new service.
| Name | Charma — integrated into PI Perform |
| Overview | PI Perform provides workspaces for one-to-one and team meetings, shared agendas, action items, feedback and employee recognition. Its documentation also describes goals, OKRs and 360 feedback, with access depending on the account and purchased features. These tools can organize management conversations; they do not guarantee better performance, employee well-being or workplace culture. |

| Who uses? | Team leaders, managers, HR professionals and business owners, alongside participating team members. |
| Pricing | The Perform FAQ describes a 14-day trial, not a permanent free Charma plan. A current standalone Perform tariff was not verified. The wider Predictive Index platform is sold through annual, company-size-based subscriptions; ask the provider to confirm Perform access, add-ons and the terms offered to your organization. Do not assume that a free assessment or an extension listing includes a full free software account. |

| App available? | PI is browser-based; it is not limited to a browser extension. An official Chrome Web Store listing titled The Predictive Index explicitly identifies Charma’s rebrand to PI Perform. The documentation also describes a Zoom integration. A dedicated native Charma phone app was not verified. |
What the documented AI features do
AgendaAI, described in Perform’s Slack-integration documentation, suggests meeting topics from selected Slack channels. Users can accept or dismiss those suggestions. This is more specific than a claim that AI automatically analyzes every employee’s performance or creates complete development plans.
The provider also documents an opt-in PI Meeting Notetaker for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. It produces meeting summaries and suggested action items. The documentation labels it a beta feature and says it does not record the meeting or capture visual input. Check the current account availability and review summaries for omissions or incorrect attribution; this review did not test the tool.
A practical management workflow
For a weekly one-to-one, add a project update, a question from the employee and any unresolved action items to a shared agenda. After the conversation, confirm the owner and due date of each agreed action. If AI suggests a topic or summary, compare it with the actual discussion before saving or sharing it. This is a suggested use, not a measured productivity result.
Employee feedback and meeting discussions can contain sensitive information. Confirm the intended audience, workspace permissions and your organization’s policies before connecting channels or enabling a notetaker. AI-generated suggestions should support, not replace, a manager’s review of context and evidence.
Sources and access limits
The original charma.com address returned an HTTP 451 “Unavailable For Legal Reasons” response to our research tool. We did not retry or bypass that restriction. That response alone does not establish a global shutdown; the acquisition and PI Perform identity are supported by the acquirer’s own announcements and documentation.
Sources checked October 28, 2026 (UTC): acquisition announcement, getting started, feature and add-on glossary, AgendaAI, Meeting Notetaker, Perform FAQ, current PI plans and official Chrome extension listing. No account, integration, extension or meeting workflow was tested.
