| Name | Reflect AI |
| Overview | Reflect AI is the AI-assisted note-taking functionality within Reflect. Reflect Open uses an optional provider API key supplied by the user, with AI usage billed separately. Reflect Classic remains maintained; its earlier model and security descriptions should not be assumed to describe Open. It allows users to transcribe voice notes through a configured provider, generate article outlines, and extract key takeaways from meetings. Check transcripts and important output against their sources. Reflect AI also assists by suggesting grammar and spelling edits for review. The AI assistant supports custom prompts and questions answered with links to source notes. Backlinked notes form a connected graph of ideas. Open stores local Markdown files and lets users configure iCloud Drive or Git sync. Its documentation says private notes are excluded from AI note access, but manually pasted prompt content and backups follow separate data flows. Review what your chosen AI and sync providers receive before using sensitive notes. |
