The image shows a limited excerpt of Photoshot’s official FAQ page captured October 30, 2026 (UTC): its header, FAQ title and first upload question. It does not show generated avatars or a result from our testing, and it is not evidence of output quality or permission to reuse another person’s photographs.
| Name | Photoshot |
| Overview | Photoshot is a web-based avatar generator that describes training a custom model from uploaded photographs and then using prompts to create images. Its technical explainer names DreamBooth and Stable Diffusion; this does not substantiate the earlier claim of a proprietary underlying AI model. A custom-trained “studio” is not a guarantee of studio-quality photographs or an exact likeness. |

These are potential uses, not tested results. Creating an avatar image does not create a functioning virtual assistant or establish commercial-use rights. |
| Who uses? | Potential audiences include designers, gamers, bloggers, social-media users and marketers evaluating avatar imagery. The site’s upload policy requires photos of yourself that you have rights to use; do not assume another person’s consent overrides that rule. |
| Pricing | The homepage displays $8 per studio, including one custom-trained studio and 100 avatar generations. It does not identify an ISO currency code in the retrieved offer; confirm currency, taxes and purchase conditions before paying. This is a per-studio offer, not a verified monthly subscription. No free generation allowance was verified, and the homepage explicitly explains why the service is not free. |
| Tags | AI avatar, personalized images, prompt-based creation, digital persona |
| App available? | A web interface is advertised. Native iOS, Android or desktop-app availability was not verified; the earlier blanket “No” was not supported. |
Photo handling, deletion and refunds
The privacy policy, dated December 14, 2022, requires rights to uploaded self-portraits and excludes nude or pornographic uploads. This is narrower than the homepage’s suggestion of using another person’s photos. The FAQ recommends clear, varied photos without other people or animals; resemblance is not assured.
The FAQ says deleting a studio deletes its associated photos and datasets on Photoshot, and that the model is automatically deleted within 24 hours after studio credits are exhausted. It separately warns that data already sent to Replicate is not removed by that action and requires a separate request. Do not read this as a promise that every copy disappears within 24 hours. The privacy policy describes third-party processing, retention exceptions and limits to data security.
According to the FAQ, refunds are available within the first 14 days only if training has not started. Clicking the training control ends that stated eligibility; this is not a satisfaction guarantee.
A practical avatar brief
For example, plan a fictional illustrated explorer profile using your own suitable photographs, specify a plain background and preferred clothing style, and review any output before publishing. Do not present an invented scene as a real photograph or use an avatar to impersonate someone. This is an illustrative workflow, not a Photoshot generation or upload test.
Sources checked October 30, 2026 (UTC): the official homepage, FAQ, privacy and upload policy, and technical overview. No account, upload, training, generation, checkout or deletion request was tested. Current commercial-output rights and the retained social-profile affiliation were not independently verified.
