Composio AI connects AI assistants and agents to external applications through managed tools and authentication. The current platform includes a developer offering with SDKs and execution infrastructure, plus Composio for You, a CLI and a managed MCP gateway. It is relevant when an agent must take an authorized action in another service, rather than only produce text.
What Composio provides
The developer platform advertises more than 1,500 toolkits and integrations across applications such as GitHub, Slack and business software. That is the vendor’s catalog count, not a guarantee that every operation in every application is supported. Check the specific tool and required account permissions before designing a workflow.
- Authentication management: connected accounts, OAuth consent, token refresh and scoped access reduce the amount of integration infrastructure an application must build.
- Tool execution: agents can search for tools and use them through sessions. The provider documentation lists Python and TypeScript interfaces, with support including OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, CrewAI and LlamaIndex.
- Triggers: events from connected applications can initiate workflows.
- Deployment options: the platform also offers custom tools, MCP connectivity and sandbox execution; enterprise controls depend on the selected agreement.
The official documentation separates sessions, tools, authentication and triggers. That distinction matters: giving an agent access to a tool does not decide whether a particular action is appropriate. Applications still need their own approval rules, error handling and checks on the result.
Composio states that its systems have SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification. Its developer page describes execution audit records and enterprise SSO/SCIM and own-cloud deployment; IP allowlisting and other controls have plan or add-on conditions. These are vendor statements, not an independent certification or security audit for this review.
Current pricing and usage limits
Checked October 20, 2026. The pricing page displays dollar amounts without an explicit currency code in the inspected comparison; confirm currency and charges before subscribing.
| Plan | Public allowance and billing |
|---|---|
| Hobby | $0; 100,000 tool calls and 50,000 triggers monthly, three members and unlimited own-app/API-key/MCP connections. Hard-capped, without a credit card. |
| Pro | $29/month, including $29 monthly usage credit that expires without rollover; unlimited team members. |
| Enterprise | Custom committed-volume pricing and billing terms. |
For your own app, API key or MCP connection, paid usage beyond free allowances is $0.0003 per tool call and $0.003 per delivered trigger. Composio-managed OAuth apps have smaller included allowances: 20,000 calls and 10,000 triggers, counting toward the overall free tier, then $0.0005 and $0.005 respectively. Managed apps include 1,000 connections; additional paid-plan connections cost $0.10 each, once.
Instant Tools and add-ons can incur separate charges. This pricing applies to signups from August 15, 2026; earlier customers keep their plans through December 31, 2026. Instant Tool billing applies to all customers from September 10, 2026.
Suitable workflows and deployment checks
Potential uses include developer assistants that prepare pull requests, support agents that update tickets, and operations tools that coordinate information between a CRM and internal systems. A sales assistant could identify stalled CRM deals and draft follow-ups for approval. The sandbox can support multi-step code and file workflows with intermediate results. Start with a single low-risk workflow and verify both the selected account and the resulting record before adding autonomous steps.
Use minimum necessary scopes and distinguish reading from sending, editing or deleting. Test revocation, failed-token recovery, duplicate prevention and spending limits. A successful tool call does not establish that an agent followed the right business rule.
The previous listing’s 250-integration count and Starter/Growth quotas are superseded by the current public platform and pricing. Earlier customers should check their grandfathered terms rather than assume their allowance changed immediately. Its specific macOS/Ubuntu remote-environment and universal uptime claims were not reconfirmed; do not treat them as included promises. This is a documentation-based review, with no account connection, credential grant, installation or agent execution performed.
